Chris Busch graduated from Oral Roberts University (ORU) in 1973 with a major in Mathematics and minors in Business and Physics. During his time at ORU, he was highly involved in student leadership, serving as the ORU Student Association President in 1972-73. After graduating, he worked at ORU from 1973 to 1980 and, at the young age of 26, was appointed Vice President of Business Affairs. In 1980, he earned his MBA from the University of Tulsa.
His family has strong ties to ORU, with his brother Gary ('72), sister Sharon ('77), wife of 51 years, Linda ('74), and all three of their children being proud graduates of the university. He has continued to serve his alma mater in various capacities throughout his career, including as a founding member of the ORU Alumni Association Board of Directors in 1982, where he also served as the association’s second Chairman. He returned to the role of Chair from 2012-2016.
As the Founder and CEO of LightQuest Media, Inc. and DigiQuest LLC in Tulsa, his entrepreneurial spirit has been evident. He remains actively engaged with ORU, serving as a member of the President’s Circle, the Board of Reference, and the ORU Champions Club. His dedication to the university was recognized in 2018 when he was named Alumnus of the Year for Service to Alma Mater. In 2024, he was honored again as the Computing and Mathematics Alumnus of the Year.
