Listed Cost vs. Actual Cost
It’s important to remember that your actual cost is what’s left over after you include all financial aid opportunities - scholarships, grants, loans, etc. - listed on your financial aid offer. Chances are, your actual cost may be significantly lower than the listed cost. Knowing the difference doesn’t have to be hard. We’re here to help you every step of the way.
Types of Financial Aid
ORU is committed to helping you reduce the cost of attending through any available avenue. Whether it be financial aid, scholarships or grants, we’re prepared to navigate financial aid options with you. Below is a quick overview of some types of financial aid, but we’d like to connect and discuss more with you in greater detail.
These are given based upon merit and awards that do not need to be repaid. We offer a premier opportunity to receive full tuition through our Graduate Quest Scholarship Program. Spots are limited to residential programs and available as vacancies occur.
Grants
These are offered based on need and do not need to be repaid. Students will be required to complete a FAFSA to qualify for grants. Learn more about the FAFSA.
Federal Loans
These are offered based on need and do need to be repaid with interest. Students will be required to complete a FAFSA to qualify for federal loans. Learn more about the FAFSA.
These are non-governmental loans made available to students by banks for the purpose of paying for college expenses. They do need to be repaid with interest.
Scholarships for International Students
Because international students are not eligible for federal financial aid grants and loan opportunities made available through the FAFSA, we offer a number of scholarships for international students.
Interest-Free Payment Plan
We offer a flexible, interest-free monthly payment plan option that can help you reduce the need to borrow finances while paying off your remaining balance over time. Payment plans range from 4 to 12 months.
