Oral Roberts University provides an incredibly unique opportunity – the ability to grow spiritually while also growing academically. We desire to see the will of God perfected in our students' lives. Here at ORU, spiritual growth happens in many different ways, all while being surrounded by a community of students who are eager to learn about how to live their lives for God.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthen in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
– Colossians 2:6-7

Spiritual Life Office

The Spiritual Life Office desires to see the will of God perfected in students’ lives, and it is our department's responsibility to help facilitate the process of spiritual maturity. It is our position that students are called to Oral Roberts University to receive a Whole Person Education, and also to hear God's voice. If we can facilitate that learning, then we believe students will be raised up to go into every person's world.

Please contact Augustine Mendoza, Director of Spiritual Life and Chaplain Programs at or Allie Mendoza, Associate Director of Spiritual Life and Chaplain Programs at for more information.

The Spiritual Life Office is committed to assisting students in their spiritual growth while attending ORU. The objective of this office is promoting the spiritual maturity of all students and to provide opportunities for spiritual growth through the Chaplain Program, Missions & Outreach, Mentoring Groups, Prayer Movement, Grow Conference, and more.

The mission of the Spiritual Life Office is to provide students practical opportunities to operate in their giftings, grow in their faith, and fulfill their callings. This is accomplished through a number of avenues, including mentoring, worship, discipleship, and prayer. Our goal is that students see their spiritual growth as something to be cultivated and desire to be transformed into someone more like Christ.

The vision of Oral Roberts University is to raise up Spirit-empowered leaders who will be able to reach and impact their generation. The Spiritual Life Office contributes to the overall vision by educating students that a whole-person is one who understands the relationship between their spirit, soul, and body—a Whole Person Education. Each person must be touched in the totality of their being if ministry is to be effective.
