"There is obviously the focus on academics, but with ORU they really care about you as a person."
Luke Wagner
"I love the focus that the university has on what’s really important, and that’s a relationship with Jesus."
Josh Macphee
"This university is so focused on God that it's not just a university. I don't plan on coming here just to get an education or diploma. My reason for coming here is of course to get an education but also to grow so much in God."
Matthew Wilson
"When I got the Quest scholarship, it made me feel like it’s actually possible to [go to college]. I’m not alone. Jesus is watching out for me. It put me in a better place in my faith."
Marlena Gailis
"No one at ORU is going to tell you that you can’t. They want the best for you and to encourage you."
Keaton Tillack
"One thing I love about ORU is the people here. Everyone is super nice, which is rare. I think it’s the Whole Person thing—the students trying to live out the Whole Person [philosophy]. It just makes everyone so friendly."
Brianna Garcia
"I love how open ORU is, even for commuter students. If you’re not getting involved, it’s not because ORU is not inviting you. They lay the foundation, but getting involved is up to you."
Edward Jordan ESQ
"I have a couple friends here who really care about my spiritual life, and they want to see me grow. I really hold them dear. They keep me accountable, and they’re always there for me."
Manuel Cruz
"As a young Christian male, it has been great to be with other people who have the same experiences and struggles and are striving to know God. I just feel like, these are my people. This is my community."
Aaron Wendel
"I felt relief when I found out I’d received a Quest Scholarship. Everything helps with how expensive college is. It’s quite the honor. I hope to live up to the Whole Person title."
David Ropotusin
"There is a positive vibe on the campus that you can see. Everyone is here to help each other."
Omar Farfan
"My classes, even if they’re not biblical, all bring it back to God. For example, in my introduction to theater class, we talk about being a critic. We talk about how you can use your faith, but you also have to bring in the outside world and see how they see things."
Vonny Kumala
"ORU has been a whole new experience, not just educationally but culturally. I think it will help me to be a successful person."
Brianna Griffith
"I love that there are so many outreaches and opportunities to get involved on and off campus."
Charles Leupen
"It is a phenomenal, Spirit-filled atmosphere on campus. It has blown my mind more than I could have imagined."
Noah Kreitz

Jaden Rodgers
"This is definitely a really positive school. The professors make time for students and show they care. I just knew when I came to ORU that this was the place I was called to."
Angel Foster
"What other place do you have your peers all trying to get closer to God? The culture of ORU encourages you to press into the Lord."
Isaiah Hutchko
"It was an amazing experience for me, coming from a public school, where I was just kind of surviving. People are so much warmer and encouraging to each other."
Shavonte Celestine
"The student body is like no other. What other school can you go to and meet people from over 100 different nations pursuing God?"
