Class of 1985
Greg Berg graduated in 1985 with a B.A. cum laude in New Testament theology and a
minor in business administration and in 2017 graduated with a MDiv with high honors.
He is currently a vice president for Merrill Lynch in Houston, Tex., a Certified Private
Wealth Advisor(R), a Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant(R), a Certified Special
Needs Advisor, a Kingdom Advisor charter member and an instructor for the Biblical
Stewardship Series for the Timothy Funds. He developed a love for missions while serving
in the ORU Missions Program. He has served on missions teams to Argentina, Brazil,
Cuba, England, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Nigeria, Peru, Trinidad,
Vietnam, Zambia and the U.S. He was a member of the Alumni Recruiters Association,
participated in a Summer Spruce-up week, spoke at the 20-year class reunion and organized
the 25-year class reunion. And, he is a graduate of Dr. Mark Rutland's National Institute
of Christian Leadership. Locally, Greg serves on the boards of Action Ministries,
Houston and Max Man Houston, Somebody Cares International and is a past chapter president
for Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International. He is a member of Champion
Forest Baptist Church where he serves as a men's ministry leader and small group teacher.
Greg is married to Rome, has a daughter, Lonnie, and a granddaughter, Alexis.
