Ariane (Folkins) Schmidt MBA, MCSE, PMP graduated from ORU in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. As a student, she was involved in Student Association (SA), serving as a dorm senator, SA Executive Vice President, and SA President her senior year. She was also involved in community outreach and Honors Society. She earned her MBA from Gonzaga University in 2000. She lives in Spokane, WA, and brings over 20 years of experience working as an operational leader with public, private, and nonprofit entities at the local, regional, and state levels in project, program, and portfolio management, legal and policy constructs, finance, grant funding, procurement, Information Technology (IT), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), broadband and public administration. Ariane is married to Darrin Schmidt. They have three children, one of whom is a residential student at ORU; the other two are enrolled in the ORU Advantage dual enrollment online program. The Schmidts have been active in their church, Life Center, for many years.
