The Ryan Iannelli Veterans Lounge
A Place of Honor, Rest, and Community for ORU’s Student Veterans and Their Families
Named in memory of Marine Captain Ryan Iannelli (ORU ’06), the Veterans Lounge honors the life and legacy of a courageous leader who gave his life in service to his country during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan on September 28, 2011.
A standout student-athlete and public affairs major, Ryan played four seasons on ORU’s baseball team, helping lead the Golden Eagles to the NCAA Super Regional Tournament. Known for his love of life, his country, and the Marine Corps, Ryan’s greatest passion was his faith in Jesus Christ. His bold witness and enduring legacy continue to inspire lives today.
The Veterans Lounge is a dedicated space on campus where student veterans and their families can connect, recharge, and find community. The lounge features comfortable seating, a television, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee station. It also serves as the regular meeting place for ORU’s Student Veterans Association and a hub for veteran-related resources and events.
All veterans and military-affiliated students are welcome. Stop by, take a break, and be part of a community that honors service and builds one another up.
