360° Virtual Dorm Tours
All freshmen are required to live on campus. All other undergraduate students under the age of 23 (must turn age 23 by August 1st preceding the Fall semester), not married OR not living with their parents/legal guardian are required to live in the residence halls.
Each floor/wing houses approximately 30 students. This structure is designed to maximize your college experience. The standard room size in Claudius and EMR measures 11.5 ft x 16ft. Rooms in the center measure 11.8 ft x 16.11 ft. Rooms located at the end of the hallway measure 14 ft x 13 ft.
Each wing has a resident advisor (RA). The RA serves as the leader of the wing and will assist you in settling into the flow of things at ORU. The RA conducts a weekly hall meeting. Each wing also has a chaplain to serve students' spiritual needs.

Basic room amenities
All rooms on campus come equipped with all the basic things to make your room your "home away from home." Rooms are furnished with extra-long twin beds (80" mattress length), desk chairs, desk areas, dressers, closet or wardrobe space and mirrors. In addition, rooms are equipped with wall-to-wall carpet (except Gabrielle dorm), individual climate controls, Ethernet connections, WiFi, Cox digital converter box upon request, HDMI cable, and a Cox TV remote control, mini-blinds or drapes and a MicroFridge® unit.
Laundry facilities are available in each residence hall. They are located on the floors in Frances Cardone Hall, Michael Cardone Hall, and Claudius Roberts Hall. Ellis Melvin Roberts, Susie North, and Susie Vinson feature laundry facilities in central common areas. There is no charge to use the washers and dryers but students do furnish their own laundry detergent.
Bunking Beds
Bunking and unbunking beds is a service ORU can provide. Only Claudius, EMR, and Gabrielle dorms are authorized for bunking and unbunking of beds.
Due to the wear and tear on the furniture and the time limitations the process presents, all requests for bunking or unbunking bed request must be submitted through Vision by July 15th.
Students who submit a bunking/unbunking request must agree to the following. Both residents in a double room must agree and consent to these conditions and the subsequent labor charges:
1) Beds for a particular room will only be bunked/unbunked once for the occupants in any given academic year
2) Residents are not permitted to bunk or unbunk their own beds. Students found to
be in violation of this policy will be fined the amount of $100.
LAUNDRY VIEW
Good news...students will no longer have to carry quarters or make sure they have enough loaded on their Eagle Card as all laundry machines on campus will be free to residents and will include access to Laundry View, a state of the art app that lets you know when your wash is done or when a machine is available.
