If I could go back, I would choose ORU over and over again. After my first visit, I can't really explain what I felt, but it was different. I knew I could see myself living here.

What Other Students are Asking About Housing

You are only allowed to go through the room selection process and confirm a room one time. Rooms not confirmed within the 5-minute lock window are released back to the available room pool. Once the process is complete, the room is locked. After the drop/add period has ended, students who wish to change rooms may go through the open room change process. For further information, please contact the Concierge Residential Services Office directly at 918-495-7711.

Only residence halls and rooms that are available to you will appear in the rooms list and on the floor maps. The seventh floor of Claudius and EMR have a limited number of suites. NOTE: On a first-come-first-served basis and subject to space availability, private rooms can be chosen during the Room Change period after drop/add. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Concierge Office. The Room Change period for fall 2025 is September 2–5.

Floors 1 and 2 in Gabrielle and floors 1, 2, and 3 in Niko Hall are the only floors on campus with private bathrooms. Please refer to the Rate Table for the per-semester charges for all rooms.

If you are 23 years old or older, a graduate student, or a part-time student, you may request an exception to live on campus. However, prior to participating in the online room selection process, you must submit a Petition for Policy Exception and receive approval. If you fall into one of these categories, you can choose a room on one of the designated wings for non-traditional students. Please note that space for non-traditional students is limited and not guaranteed. For assistance, please email the Concierge office at concierge@oru.edu.

You must first agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Housing Agreement before you can proceed to the room selection step. Once you agree, there might be a brief delay while the system processes your record and updates your application status. If you have questions about any of the items included in the Terms and Conditions, please contact the Concierge Residential Services Office at (918) 495-7711.

Honors students can select a room on one of the Honors floors according to the same room selection schedule. In order to select a room on a Honors floor, you must be a Honors student. If you are a Honors student but the Honors floors are not appearing, please contact Admissions to make sure your status as a Honors student has been updated. If you are a student who currently lives on a Honors floor and wish to stay on that floor, you are able to retain your same room. If you are a non-Honors student wishing to select a room on a Honors floor, please contact the Concierge Residential Services Office at (918) 495-7711.

After a student athlete or student leader has completed the application process and updated the meal plan preferences in the application, housing will begin to assign rooms. To further review your room and board status for the current academic year, go to VISION >> Registration Quick Links >> select the Housing tab >> log in to the Starez Portal >> select Housing Application to view your room and meal plan bookings and any, if applicable, roommate information. If you have questions, please contact the Concierge Office at 918-495-7711 or concierge@oru.edu.

Athletes wishing to live outside of the designated block of rooms for their team must get permission to do so from their coach. The coach must send an email to concierge@oru.edu allowing the student to live in a room other than the designated rooms. Once permission is received by housing, an adjustment will be made to the student's housing application which will allow the student to select a room through the general room selection process. You must complete the online application portion first before this adjustment can be made. Type studenthousing.oru.edu in the web browser to access the online housing application.
