Developing Whole Leaders for the whole World

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

We’re committed to making a quality education from ORU accessible and affordable. That’s why nearly 100% of our full-time undergraduate students receive scholarships and grants.

The following list of 2021-2022 scholarships and grants are for incoming, on-campus freshmen and transfer students who are enrolled full-time (12-18 credit hours per semester). All awards are subject to change, and the combined total of all ORU grants and scholarships may not exceed 100% of tuition. Other expenses such as room and board may be funded with outside scholarships, federal aid, and/or private funds. If you need help understanding your financial aid offer or what to expect of the process, connect with us today.

Quest Whole Leader Scholarship

At the point of admission, future Golden Eagles are eligible for one of two scholarship programs, the Academic Scholarship program or the Quest Whole Leader Scholarship program. The Quest Whole Leader Scholarship program* seeks to recognize student achievement in the areas of academics, services, and leadership. Eligible students** are automatically considered for this scholarship upon admission, but are also granted the opportunity to increase that award up to full tuition by way of nominations.

State and Federal Aid

ORU also participates in state and federal aid programs that provide grants and student loans to qualifying students (U.S. Citizens only). To qualify, you’ll need to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is a government form used to determine if you qualify for federal aid. You can submit your FAFSA at fafsa.gov as early as October 1 the year before you plan on enrolling in classes! Even if you don’t think you’ll qualify for federal aid, you’ll want to complete the FAFSA using ORU’s school code (003985) so you can receive a personalized financial aid.

Guidelines for International Financial Aid

  • International students are not eligible to receive any U.S. federal aid. However, international students who have permanent resident status (green card) or international students who are in the United States as political refugees are generally eligible for U.S. federal aid.
  • Students may only receive funds from the international student budget for four years. Students with a double major may petition to receive funds for a fifth year.
  • Students from English-speaking nations should submit an SAT or ACT score (rather than the TOEFL) to qualify for academic scholarships. A TOEFL score will suffice if the SAT or ACT test is not offered in their nations.
