The Student Life Team is dedicated to cultivating a premier Spirit-empowered student
experience centered on engagement, leadership, and service. We help students grow
spiritually, personally, and socially through leadership development, discipleship,
campus involvement, spiritual formation, and service opportunities. Our goal is to
help students discover purpose, build authentic relationships, and become Whole Leaders
for the Whole World.
The Kingdom moves at the speed of relationship. In Student Life, we value building
relationships with our students so they can become all that God has called them to
be.

Student Experience
Student Association
A team of high-capacity student leaders serving their peers through event creation,
E-sports, student-led club organizations, and creative innovation.
The Clubs and Organizations office in Student Association serves to build community
through student-led groups anchored around culture, hobbies, and games.
The Intramurals office exists to create spaces of community and competition for the
ORU student body through sports like basketball, flag football, soccer, pickleball,
and volleyball.
We exist to raise up Spirit-Empowered worshipers who are pure-hearted, Spirit-filled,
biblically-sound, leadership-ready, and creatively skilled to go and change their
world. Students can be a part of Worship Center no matter what their major is or music
skill level. Get connected with others who are passionate about prayer and worship!
The Chaplain Program is a key part of Spiritual Life at ORU, helping students grow
in their relationship with God through discipleship, spiritual formation, and community.
Through student Chaplains, discipleship groups, and peer-leadership opportunities,
students are encouraged to become rooted spiritual leaders who love God and love people.
At ORU, we are equipping students to fulfill the Great Commission by loving locally
and reaching globally. Our mission is to be a strategic, short-term investment into
long-term Kingdom work. Come join what Jesus is doing in the nations!
Student Development is dedicated to cultivating the lives of students by advancing
the University's mission of developing Whole Leaders for the Whole World. Through
the leadership of Resident Advisors, Residence Hall Directors, and Deans of Student
Engagement, the Student Development team cultivates a safe, supportive, and Spirit-empowered
residential community while providing meaningful opportunities for leadership development,
personal growth, and student engagement.
ORU Counseling Services provides confidential support for students experiencing academic,
emotional, relational, spiritual, or personal challenges. When life feels overwhelming,
our caring staff offers a safe, nonjudgmental environment where students can find
support, perspective, and hope.
ORU’s Disability Services office coordinates individualized accommodations so students
with disabilities can fully participate in academic and campus life. It ensures equal
access by arranging supports such as extended testing time, reduced‑distraction environments,
and other reasonable adjustments based on documented needs.
The Care Team is committed to supporting students through holistic care that nurtures
their spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. We walk
alongside students by listening, engaging, and partnering with them as they consider
the next steps and solutions. Through connection to campus resources, student engagement
opportunities, and ongoing support, we strive to ensure that no student is left alone.
Student Leadership engagement at ORU provides students with opportunities to develop
their God-given potential through meaningful leadership experiences that foster spiritual
growth, servant leadership, and personal development. Whether serving in Student Association,
residence halls, student organizations, peer mentoring, missions, or campus events,
students are empowered to lead their peers, engage with the campus community, and
lead with purpose. Through intentional leadership formation, guided mentorship, and
experiential opportunities, ORU students grow as confident, Spirit-empowered leaders
who make an impact wherever they serve.
Our Student Life Team is committed to developing Spirit-empowered leaders who lead
with purpose, serve with compassion, and walk boldly in God's calling.
