Degree

Program Overview

For students who desire expert knowledge about the counseling field, but do not wish to pursue a license as a professional counselor, see our new M.A. in Counseling Studies. The degree can be completed in only 36 hours, can be attended fully virtually, and maintains Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation. The M.A. in Counseling Studies is appropriate for students who will be administrators of counseling and mental health agencies and business, individuals in business and non-profit settings who desire expert knowledge on how to better work with people, and those working in ministry and church settings who do not wish to seek professional licensure. This degree is academic and does not prepare students for practice as a counselor.
