Our Master of Arts in Professional Counseling (M.A.P.C.) equips you for licensure and prepares you to serve in both clinical and ministry-based settings. Whether you’re called to work in a private practice, faith-based agency, local church, or community setting, this program provides the tools and training you need to bring healing and hope to others.

The MAPC program offers three licensure tracks: Professional Counseling (LPC), Marital and Family Therapy (LMFT), and Addictions Counseling (LADC-MH), each with optional concentrations. The curriculum is designed to meet licensure requirements in Oklahoma and can be adapted to meet the standards of most other states.

Addictions Counseling

This concentration prepares you to support individuals and families affected by substance use and behavioral addictions, combining clinical training with faith-informed recovery approaches.

Clinical Mental Health

This concentration helps you gain the skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health issues in diverse populations, equipping you for licensure and service in clinical or community-based settings.

Marriage & Family

This concentration focuses on relational dynamics, communication, and systemic therapy, preparing you to support couples and families as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

The M.A. in Professional Counseling is accredited through Oral Roberts University’s Graduate School of Theology and Ministry, which is fully accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS).
