Program Overview
For those who choose not to pursue a major in entrepreneurship but still have a heart for this subject, ORU now offers an innovative new minor in entrepreneurship. Regardless of your college or major, you can cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and mold your skillset or passion into a business. The minor in entrepreneurship will help you develop a broad range of skills to pursue your dreams as an entrepreneur.
The program takes you beyond the classroom by providing many hands-on experiences both locally and globally. For instance, you can compete in our flagship startup competition – The Launch – where you will receive mentoring, develop your strategy, and pitch to investors. You also have many opportunities to collaborate and intern with successful entrepreneurs across the Tulsa entrepreneurial ecosystem, which has been rated one of the top cities in America for young entrepreneurs. Or, if you have a global vision, there are opportunities to study or work abroad and gain practical experience and build your network through international internships, bootcamps, and conferences.
A biblical worldview is integrated throughout the entrepreneurship curriculum and programs with an emphasis on social entrepreneurship, kingdom business, and business as mission. You will be equipped as a Holy Spirit-empowered entrepreneur to think creatively and develop a vision to bring God’s healing to the marketplace and impact the world through business.
