The temporary Research assistant will assist with a research project on the disaster preparedness of faith-based organizations housed in the Department of History, humanities, and Government. The research assistant will assist with transcription of interviews, analysis of interviews, and general office support related to the research project. Additional tasks may include interviewing, reading and summarizing academic articles, preparing reports, and other similar activities.
Prior research experience is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, repetitive motion, twisting of upper body, manual dexterity for operation of office machines and the ability to climb stairs. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs of office/commencement supplies. Requires good visual and auditory skills and the ability to speak clearly.
Hours 5- 10 hours per week.
