The Social Work Instructor teaches part time in the spring and fall. He or she is responsible for student advisement and teaches a range of possible courses required by accreditation including; Social Work Research, Practice I, Practice IV, & HBSE I.
Duties will primarily consist of teaching Social Work courses with an emphasis on scholarship and research. A successful history of teaching and scholarship is required. Faculty members must also advise students and direct undergraduate student research.
Essential Academic Preparation: Must have a M.S.W. in Social Work from a C.S.W.E. accredited school, experience in both research and applied social work, some clinical social work practice, some teaching experience and preferably have specific knowledge and training in family systems issues. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of multicultural social work perspectives and experience with diverse populations.
