RESIDENCE HALLS

CLAUDIUS PRISCILLA ROBERTS HALL—(“Claudius”) This seven-floor residence for 600 women opened in 1965 and is named in honor of Chancellor Roberts’ mother. Double rooms have weighted desks, ample closet space, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

ELLIS MELVIN ROBERTS HALL—(“EMR”) This seven-floor high-rise residence hall for 600 men is designed similarly to Claudius Priscilla Roberts Hall. Both residences have an apartment for the Residence Hall Director. The residence hall, constructed in 1965, is named in honor of Chancellor Roberts’ father. The Campus Post Office is in the south wing, and the Student Health offices are in the east wing.

FRANCES CARDONE HALL—(“Frances”) This 12-story, star-shaped building is connected to Susie Vinson Hall. Residents use a common lobby, reception desk, and study lounge connecting the men’s and women’s towers. The double rooms are fully air-conditioned and carpeted. Laundry facilities, showers, and bathtubs are in the restrooms on each floor.

GABRIELLE CHRISTIAN SALEM HALL—(“Gabrielle”) This residence hall for 240 women is named in memory of Gabrielle Christian Salem, daughter of Harry and Cheryl Salem. The first and second floors feature in-room bathrooms.

MICHAEL CARDONE, SR., HALL—(“Michael”) A 12-story twin tower, located near and similar in design to the original towers, houses 372 male students in eight stories. This is one of four residence halls connected by a common lobby in the Quad Towers complex.

NIKO NJOTORAHARDJO HALL—called “Niko Hall”— A state-of-the-art, apartment-style home. It has separate wings for men and women and suites that feature kitchenettes, private baths, and high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi, and washers/dryers. Upscale dorm rooms are located on the top floor.

SUSIE VINSON HALL—(“Susie”) This star-shaped hall, one of the twin towers, houses 244 women in eight stories. The rooms are furnished with built-in desks and drawer space. A common lobby makes this residence hall one of four in the Quad Towers complex.

WESLEY LUEHRING HALL—(“Wesley”) The men’s twin tower houses 244 students in eight stories. The residence hall rooms are similar to those in Susie Vinson Hall.

Campus Map

Armand Hammer Alumni-Student Center— The centrally located state-of-the-art Hammer Center is where students relax, play, eat, and connect. The Student Association and Alumni offices are also located here.

Burkhart Family Strength & Conditioning Center—This building houses baseball offices, the Grand Slam Room, and athletes' strength and conditioning facilities.

Case Soccer Complex—A lighted, natural turf soccer field used by the men’s and women’s Golden Eagles soccer teams is located directly east of the Aerobics Center.

Chapman Stadium— This Stadium is home to the ORU baseball Golden Eagles, has 2,200 chair-back seats, superb lighting for night games, radio and television coverage equipment, and spacious dressing rooms. It also houses the Burkhart Family Strength and Conditioning Center for ORU athletes. 

Christ’s Chapel—Christ’s Chapel is the home of the biweekly chapel services. The Jack H. Kennedy Chapel and Holy Spirit Room are housed in Christ’s Chapel.

Global Learning Center—Whether our on-campus students are using it or we are virtually welcoming students from any nation, the Global Learning Center at Oral Roberts University is making Spirit-empowered, whole-person education a global reality. ORU is the only university in the world harnessing virtual and augmented reality technologies to provide students with an unmatched learning experience, regardless of their location, all available through a simple smartphone.

H. A. Chapman Practice Facility—The indoor practice facility includes an entire artificial surface infield, complete with a pitcher’s mound, bases, and two batting cages for baseball. The men's and women's track programs will utilize a pole vault area, a long jump/triple jump pit, and an optional high jump pit. The facility is a 35,000-square-foot structure.

Hamill Student Center—This 70,000-square-foot student activities center has three levels. The ground level contains the Zoppelt Auditorium, Campus Security, and the eSports e-Rena. Upstairs is the main cafeteria.

J.D. McKean Library—The mission of the J.D. McKean Library is to foster learning, scholarship, and a sense of community among students, faculty, staff, and external constituents. 

Kenneth H. Cooper Aerobics Center—This two-story, 120,000 square-foot building houses offices for the HPER Department, ORU Golden Eagle Athletics (except basketball and baseball), and Cheerleading. The building has basketball, volleyball, and racquetball courts; gymnastic, wrestling, and tumbling rooms; a state-of-the-art running track; an Olympic-size swimming pool; and a full weight room and fitness floor, which includes free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, stationary and recumbent bikes, stair climbers, and other equipment.

Learning Resources Center and Graduate Center— The John D. Messick Learning Resources Center (LRC), completed in 1965, encompasses four and one-half acres of floor space and houses administration offices, classrooms, electronic media, laboratories, conference rooms, and the ORU Bookstore. A 458,000 square-foot addition, the Marajen Chinigo Graduate Center (GC), houses the College of Business, Arts and Cultural Studies, Science and Engineering, Education, and Theology and Ministry, as well as the undergraduate Admissions, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Registrar. Maps of each floor of the LRC and GC are posted throughout the building. Panera, located on the main floor of the Graduate Center, is a popular franchise that provides made-to-order, high-quality breakfast and lunch selections. Panera offers dine-in, mobile, and take-out options.  

Mabee Center—The Mabee Center was designed for special events, whether they require a large area for a concert, an intercollegiate basketball game, or a small auditorium for concerts or plays. Acoustic curtains can divide the arena into smaller sections, including Johnston Theater, which seats 2,776, and an expanded theater seating audiences of over 4,000. This special-events facility, opened in 1972, is the home of the Golden Eagles and Lady Golden Eagles basketball teams. Other facilities within the Mabee Center include lounges, a practice basketball court, dressing rooms, locker rooms, a handball court, a Golden Eagles meeting area, a mezzanine dining room, a kitchen, ticket offices, a press room, and television studios. Events regularly held in the Mabee Center include concerts, conventions, ORU’s annual graduation ceremonies, sports events, and area high school graduations.

Mike Carter Athletic Center—The Mike Carter Athletic Center (MCAC) is adjacent to the Mabee Center. This facility houses two full-size practice courts, administrative and coaches' offices, and a 10,000-square-foot indoor sports performance area. The Eli Academic Center, also housed within the MCAC, includes individual and group study areas and dedicated team rooms.

Nursing, Engineering Complex (NEC)—Located at the corner of 81st Street and Delaware Avenue. This building houses the College of Health Sciences, the School of Nursing, the School of Engineering, the Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship, and Counseling Services.

Peggy V. Helmerich Media Arts Center - The new Peggy V. Helmerich Media Arts Center has three performance spaces: a Proscenium Theater, a Black Box (Studio Theater), and the new Music Performance Hall. It includes a Dance Studio, a Design Lab, and an Acting Studio. These spaces allow students to grow in their craft and receive hands-on experiences for their major.

Praying Hands Entrance/Billy Joe Daugherty Circle—Billy Joe Daugherty Circle is the main Lewis Avenue entrance to the campus. The driveway is lined with flags representing the more than 50 nations from which ORU students come. It was made possible through a gift from Ernest Simpson. The centerpiece for the Billy Joe Daugherty Circle is the bronze-sculpted healing hands. The hands, 60 feet high, were a gift from Herbert and Diane Brown. They were moved to their present site and placed on the beautiful granite base through a gift by Regent Gerald Canning in loving memory of his wife, Marjorie.

Prayer Tower—Located in the center of the campus, the 240-foot Prayer Tower, built in the shape of a modern-day cross, houses the Prayer Room, an area reserved for students, faculty, and staff to spend time in prayer, study God’s Word, and take communion. A self-guided visual tour of the ORU campus is located on the deck level. Since its opening in 1967, the Prayer Tower has been a source of inspiration to millions. The Ralph L. Reece Memorial Gardens surround the base of the Prayer Tower. The ORU men’s and women’s chaplains have offices in the Prayer Tower.

Ralph L. Reece Memorial Gardens—The Ralph L. Reece Memorial Gardens, also known as The Prayer Gardens, surround the base of the Prayer Tower. Within the Memorial Gardens, the bronze statues of Jesus and two students depict life at ORU, where students come to learn the will of God by sitting at His feet. Beverly Paddleford, designer of “The Master Teacher,” stated that her inspiration came from Matthew 7:24. The gardens were renovated in the summer of 2009 to include more seating, landscaping, and water features.

Stovall Building—Formerly known as Moyers Hall, houses offices for human resources, payroll, accounting, purchasing, and other administrative departments.

Tennis Courts—Outdoor tennis courts are located north of the Chapman Stadium. These are available for student use and the Golden Eagles' intercollegiate tennis teams. Courts are lit at night and may be used until midnight. 

Welcome Center—Located at the campus entrance as an introduction to ORU, where you can arrange campus tours. It houses ORU’s enrollment team and the Veterans Experience Office as a liaison and advisor to military-affiliated students.
