Dr. Dunbar Davison earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Arkansas and both an M.S. in Counseling Psychology and a B.G.S. in Art and Psychology from Northeastern State University. 

Dr. Dunbar Davison is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Supervisor in Oklahoma. Additionally, she is a National Certified Counselor, a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider, and a Certified School Counselor in Oklahoma. Her clinical experiences include working with children, adults, couples, and families in various settings including schools, medical centers, and college counseling centers. Currently, Dr. Dunbar Davison is in private practice where she provides counseling, clinical supervision, and consultation services.

Since 2006, she has been an active member of the Oklahoma Counseling Association where she was named Counselor of the Year in 2015. She has served in leadership roles including President of the Northeast Region of the Oklahoma Counseling Association and President of the Oklahoma Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. 

As a Counselor Educator since 2010, her record of teaching includes course development and instruction in both land-based and online clinical mental health counseling programs. She has incorporated her formal education in Higher education Administration by serving in university governance and on faculty councils. Her scholarly contributions include published book chapters, articles, and both national and state-level peer-reviewed professional presentations. Her research interests include counseling supervision and clinical interventions. Since joining ORU as an Associate Professor, she excited to incorporate faith and spirituality in her work with students and colleagues. 

Dr. Dunbar Davison and her husband Rob live in Tulsa with their two children Johnny and Brooke. She and her family love exploring state parks for fishing, boating, and hiking.
