Our mission is to enhance Spirit-empowered scholarship within the Oral Roberts University community and beyond to serve the global church.
ORU Research and Publication
- Managing theology publishing programs, including E21 academic titles through ORU Press;
- Partnering with College of Theology & Ministry to jointly publish Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology;
- Serving the the Theology Ph.D. program by facilitating research and publication of students;
- Promoting faculty and student research and publications;
- Encouraging student clubs to engage in research by organizing book talks, workshops, and publication opportunities;
- Operating the Holy Spirit Resource Center (HSRC);
- Directing the annual Younghoon Lee Dissertation of the Year award;
- Any research-related work relevant to the purpose of the Center.
Global Spirit-Empowered Movement
- Functioning as the ORU’s partner for E21’s Academic Activities by overseeing its Scholars Consultations and publishing efforts;
- Managing the Global Network of Spirit-empowered Scholars (GNSES) with regular communication and member updates;
- Contributing to research projects in collaboration with GNSES;
- Assisting E21 in other academic endeavors;
- Resourcing Pentecostal World Fellowship and its journal, Pentecostal Education;
- Building partnership relationships with global Spirit-empowered theological institutions, especially those offering post-graduate programs;
Other World Christian Networks
- Serving ORU in relating to global church networks, such as the Global Christian Forum, the Lausanne Movement, the World Council of Churches, the World Evangelical Alliance, the Global Forum of Theological Educators, etc.;
