Program Features

Do I Need to Audition?

Yes. Admission to the worship leadership program requires an audition with the worship department. You must first apply and be admitted to the university prior to auditioning. After admission, you’ll receive instructions via email on how to submit your audition materials. For audition details and to submit your materials, please visit the audition form. Internships

In the worship leadership program, hands-on experience is key. You’ll engage in real-world internships that deepen your practical skills and prepare you to lead worship with confidence. Internship placements may include local churches, ministry organizations, music production studios, event coordination teams, and worship conferences. These opportunities allow you to apply what you’ve learned in class, build professional relationships, and grow as a Spirit-empowered worship leader ready to serve the global church.

Our Accreditation

ORU meets the accreditation standards set by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The ORU Music Department is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). ORU is also an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) approved university, and we became an All Steinway School in Spring 2011.
