Why Does ORU's BFA in cinema & Media arts stand out?

After completing the first four semesters of Media courses, classes such as Principles of Audio, Field Production, Production Software, Digital Photography and Screenwriting, you may apply for entry into the Media Mastery Institute. The MMI is a two-year Intensive program. Admission is by application. Once enrolled in the MMI, you’ll take advanced media courses, workshops and field trips, produce short films and live productions, and make industry network connections. Each year, MMI students and faculty travel to the National Association of Broadcasters’ Expo (NAB show) in Las Vegas. The next stop is Hollywood, California, where you’ll meet with Christian industry professionals, visit studio lots, attend live recordings, take backstage tours and visit production companies.

The senior year focuses even more intently on a specific media artform. Students may choose Feature Films, Documentaries, Sports Media, Multi-Cam productions or Advanced Screen Writing.

CMA faculty help students find and qualify for internships which align with their career goals. Alumni have worked in Hollywood on professional film sets, in commercial film and TV studios.
