How do I access the summer course catalog?

Below are the steps to access the summer course catalog:

1. Visit vision.oru.edu
2. Select “Summer Schedule”
3. Select the “Subject” you desire
4. Select “Class Search”
5. View the results organized by Subject and Summer Session

How do I complete my residential undergraduate degree faster when enrolling in Summer School?

Completion of courses during the summer reduces the number of courses required during the semester which has the potential to reduce the number of semesters needed. Three-year degree plan sheets are available from each college for each major. Three-year degree plan sheets may also be found here. 

How does Summer School make residential degree completion potentially less expensive?

1. Discounted tuition. Undergraduate Summer residential courses that take place in Summer Sessions 1-5 are offered at $555 per credit hour.  
2. Complete degrees in a shorter amount of time (3 years vs. 4 years) using Undergraduate 3-year degree plans available from colleges. Three-year degree plan sheets may also be found here.
3. Free housing is available! If your enrollment reaches 10 hours (undergraduate) or 9 hours (graduate), you will receive free, on-campus housing during the summer. At least 50% of your credit hours must be residential for this discount to apply. The credit is applied at the end of the summer once eligibility has been verified. (Note: Activities without enrollment attached, such as conferences or not-for-summer-credit missions trips will not count toward the discount.)

How does Summer School help to improve performance?

Since fewer courses can be taken during the summer, summer school offers the opportunity for greater focus.  More challenging courses can receive emphasis.
