AcademICs
Each ORU Study Abroad program has one core Humanities class called Travel Studies.
This class helps students process and appreciate the culture of their chosen program.
In addition to the required Study Abroad class, students may take degree-related courses
offered during the semester they are abroad through a video recording software called
Zoom or directed studies.
Please note that it is strongly advised that:
- Students take no more than 12-14 credit hours while away.
- Some degree-related courses may present too many challenges to pursue while abroad.
Finances
There are some scholarships and some federal aid that will apply to the cost of studying abroad. To find out more, fill out this form and Financial Aid will send you a package.
- Create your profile on oru.via-trm.com.
- Set up an appointment with an study abroad advisor.
- Fill out the Financial Aid form.
- Meet with your academic advisor to discuss the classes you will take while abroad.
- Pay the $35 Application Fee.
- Complete Via-TRM Application.
- Fill out forms on Via-TRM.
