Online Doctor of Business Administration Launching in Fall 2026 Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 14, 2026—This Fall, Oral Roberts University (ORU) will be launching a new online Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, created for experienced professionals seeking to advance their leadership, research, and strategic impact in today’s global marketplace. The 54-credit-hour program is designed to be completed in as little as three years, offering a flexible format tailored for working professionals. “ORU’s online Doctor of Business Administration degree reflects our mission to raise up Spirit-empowered leaders at the highest levels of business,” said Dr. William M. Wilson, ORU President, “leaders who combine academic excellence, practical wisdom, and a deep sense of purpose to influence organizations and communities globally. This new degree marks a significant step forward in ORU’s commitment to developing leaders who are equipped to transform the world.” The fully online DBA program was developed in response to growing national demand for doctoral-level business professionals. The program will integrate advanced business theory with practical application, equipping students to solve complex organizational challenges, drive innovation, and lead with purpose across industries. Courses are delivered in an accelerated seven-week format, allowing students to pace themselves while balancing professional responsibilities. Students will have the opportunity to engage in real-world business challenges while contributing meaningful insights to their organizations and industries. “This program represents a defining step forward in expanding ORU’s impact among experienced business professionals,” said Dr. Julie Huntley, Dean of the Fenimore & Fisher College of Business. “The DBA is designed to equip leaders with strong business acumen and Spirit-empowered, values-driven leadership that enhances performance and extends strategic influence.” The DBA program builds on ORU’s foundation in doctoral education and complements the Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) by offering a more business-focused, research-driven pathway. While the DSL centers on leadership formation, the DBA emphasizes applied business strategy, data-informed decision-making, and practice-based research—equipping professionals to lead at the intersection of theory and execution. “This is more than a new degree—it’s an opportunity to equip leaders at the highest level,” said Nathan Carson, Associate Vice President of ORU Online. “By delivering this program online, we are creating access for professionals around the world to grow in expertise, influence, and purpose without stepping away from their careers.” Additional program details, including a full program guide and application information, are available on ORU’s Doctor of Business Administration webpage.
