ORU Celebrates Another Record-Breaking Freshman Class

Tulsa, Oklahoma, September 15th, 2025—Oral Roberts University (ORU) has achieved enrollment growth for the 17th consecutive year, with the 2025 Fall Census reporting 6,213 students—marking the first time that Fall enrollment has surpassed 6,000 students. The incoming class also set a record with 1,201 first year students, the largest in ORU's history. The University's global reach expanded significantly this year, with international students comprising 20% of enrollment alongside students from all 50 states. Since 2019, students from 174 countries have attended ORU with 9 new nations added this fall. The University also maintained a strong overall undergraduate retention rate of 92%.

This growth follows ORU’s 2024-25 enrollment success, when unduplicated headcount for the entire academic year exceeded 7,000 students. Enrollment numbers will continue to rise during this academic year as graduate and online students complete registration beyond the census date. This sustained expansion across undergraduate, graduate, online, ORU Flex and dual enrollment programs establishes ORU as a dynamic institution that attracts diverse students worldwide while upholding its commitment to academic excellence and transformative education. ORU is now the largest private university in Oklahoma.

Historic Campus Expansion

Along with 17 years of consecutive enrollment growth, ORU has opened several new buildings and renovations in the last decade, including:

• E-Rena facility

As part of ORU’s continued expansion, Phase II of the Whole Leaders for the Whole World (WLWW) Campaign is underway. Construction has started on new residence halls, a new dining hall, and a new courtyard. Phase II will also include residence hall renovations and will be completed debt-free, without the usage of any tuition dollars.
