ORU Worship Releases First New Music in 8 Years
ORU Worship is pleased to announce the release of the group’s first single from its forthcoming
live album “My Offering.” The song, titled “The Symphony,” expresses the glory of
God through His creation, crafting an artistic metaphor of adoration giving oneself
wholly to Christ.
“ORU has a rich history of recording albums with original songs written by students,”
said Kimmie Simon, Director of ORU Worship Center. “We believe this album release
will let the world experience the anointing of ORU over the next several weeks. God
is going to bless people through this.”
ORU Worship last recorded an album in 2012, which was performed during what is now
known as Quest Leadership Weekend, an occasion when prospective students visit the ORU campus to get a taste of student
life. "My Offering" was also recorded during such a weekend so that students interested
in ORU could experience the vibrant campus worship.
“The Symphony” features ORU Worship vocalist Kailey Abel, who recently spent time
on Blake Shelton’s team on NBC’s “The Voice.” Hailing from Verdigris, Oklahoma, Abel
also made the Top 100 in the final season of “American Idol” on Fox.
“The Symphony” is currently available to purchase and stream on all standard platforms.
“My Offering” is scheduled to release on May 22, 2020.
