Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University will be hosting 14 Union high school teachers
on Monday, January 13, 2020 for a class on how to use virtual reality (VR) as a teaching
tool. After the session from 8am to 11am at the Global Learning Center, participants
will receive a VR certificate as part of their training.
ORU is leading the way in teaching how immersive education through augmented and virtual reality can impact a student’s ability to learn. The University has invested more than $1 million into such technologies and assembled a library of an estimated 500,000 immersive learning experiences. Recently, ORU created a device called an AI-enabled MQ-mirror, which allows students to engage with all education systems and acquire knowledge through a smart mirror.
Please contact Stephanie Hill on her mobile phone if you plan to attend the training session.
