Dr. Bill Crawford brings a wealth of experience in many areas to ORU. He served in the ministry and founded and pastored several churches and served as the Principal of a Christian school and as the Dean of a Bible Training Center. He was also privileged to minister in more than 30 states and several foreign countries. In his professional career, Mr. Crawford has held management and leadership positions in both publicly and privately held organizations in the restaurant, retail, and media industries. Academically, he has taught for both public and private universities for more than 20 years. Immediately prior to joining the faculty at ORU, Dr. Crawford was the Chair of Business Department at St. Gregory’s University. He is also proud to have served in the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Crawford has earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Administrative Management from Tulsa Community College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Southern Nazarene University, and a Master of Science Degree in Management, from Southern Nazarene University. He has completed the coursework for a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University and is completing his dissertation. He has also earned a Ministerial Training Certificate from Rhema Bible Training Center.
In the classroom, Dr. Crawford’s classes primary focus on management, marketing, or both. His passion is to ensure that students have a solid, scholarly understanding of principles and concepts combined with a practical understanding of how to apply them in real-world settings. Part of his joy to be teaching at ORU is the overt opportunity to also bring Scriptural concepts into classroom discussions and to be a partner with the Holy Spirit to educate students in spirit, mind, and body.
Outside of the classroom, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.
