Dr. Bill Crawford brings a comprehensive background in academia, business leadership, and ministry to his role at ORU. His academic career spans more than two decades, during which he has taught at both public and private universities. Professionally, Dr. Crawford has held significant management and leadership positions within publicly and privately held organizations across the restaurant, retail, and media industries.
In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Dr. Crawford has a rich history in ministry. He founded and pastored several churches, served as the Principal of a Christian school, and was the Dean of a Bible Training Center. His ministerial work has taken him to over 30 states and numerous international locations. Dr. Crawford is also a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.
His educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University, where his dissertation research specifically investigated the causes of workplace burnout and engagement. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management from Southern Nazarene University, an Associate of Applied Science degree in Administrative Management from Tulsa Community College, and a Ministerial Training Certificate from Rhema Bible Training Center.
Within the classroom, Dr. Crawford's primary teaching areas are management and marketing. His pedagogical philosophy centers on providing students with a solid, scholarly understanding of core principles and concepts, coupled with a practical understanding of their real-world application. A significant aspect of his enjoyment in teaching at ORU is the explicit opportunity to integrate Scriptural concepts into classroom discussions, thereby partnering with the Holy Spirit to educate students comprehensively in spirit, mind, and body.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Crawford values spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
