LeighAnne grew up knowing "81st and Lewis" in Tulsa very well. After all, she attended Victory Christian School - right across from ORU - from elementary school through high school. While in school there, she met Andrew Locke whom she would later marry. From Victory, LeighAnne went on to ORU where she earned her B.S. in Math Education. Andy joined her at ORU for his last two years of college and after college they married. LeighAnne earned her M.S. in Applied Math from the University of Tulsa. During the spring term of 2000, she served as adjunct professor at Rogers State University and Tulsa Community College before becoming a professor at ORU in Fall 2000.

Today, LeighAnne and Andy have a young daughter, Asa, who is the joy of their lives. She's lucky - all four grandparents live in Tulsa as do LeighAnne's two younger sisters. Lots of family means lots of places to turn for help and love.

More than anything else about ORU, LeighAnne loves the students, faculty and staff. "It's a great collaborative environment at ORU where teachers work together to bring the very best education to students. Faculty share openly, with little thought of personal gain or loss. It's all about doing what will most help our students," LeighAnne commented. "It's so rewarding to be able to share the love of Christ with students on campus," she went on. "I remind my students that God can use everyone. He has a plan for all of us. Teaching math is my mission. My hope is that when students look at me and my life they can see God at work using me."
