Dr. Janice Burkybile is a full-time faculty member in the College of Health Sciences, Anna Vaughn School of Nursing. Prior to joining ORU, Dr. Burkybile served as the Director of Nursing of Harvard Family Physicians in a primary care setting. Dr. Burkybile also has acute care experience in Medical Surgical, telemetry, interventional radiology, and emergency medicine and is now a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has served on several mission trips within the United States, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Ghana, and Togo, Africa. “Nursing is truly a ministry in itself, a way to be the hands and feet of Jesus in every person’s world.”
