Becky Mills serves the Oral Roberts University community with a unique breadth of experience that spans over two decades of institutional history. Her career at ORU began in Student Affairs in 2005 and progressed through roles in Student Publications and Media before she joined the Communication, Arts & Media department. A graduate of ORU with a B.A. in Government, she holds an M.A. in American Studies from Northeastern State University, where she graduated with honors and membership in Alpha Chi and Rho Theta Sigma honor societies. Her academic interest in American history and government, and passion to develop Holy Spirit-empowered leaders brought her back to ORU’s campus.
As faculty advisor to the ORU delegation to the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature
(O.I.L.), Professor Mills mentors students in a rigorous, student-led simulation of
Oklahoma’s three-branch state government. This award-winning program functions as
a leadership incubator, preparing students for public service and community leadership
roles.
Becky and her husband Bert have long been engaged in church ministry, serving in itinerant and local pastoral roles in California, Maine, and Oklahoma. Together they have worked in every aspect of church ministry and leadership, from sound engineer to leading worship, and from teaching children to lead pastor. They currently serve at Our Finest Hour Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where they have attended since 2003.
In addition to teaching, Becky enjoys perusing museums, studying art and spending time with her three grandchildren.
