Summer nurse hours may vary, depending on vacation times for staff.
A Registered Nurse is on-duty full time to administer services such as care and dressing of minor injuries, consultation concerning medical problems, dispensing non-prescription medication for minor illnesses and to answer questions concerning immunization requirements for students.
A list of local clinics and urgent care facilities is available in the Student Health office.
Student Health services also oversees medical assessment forms and immunization records which are required for most incoming students.
Student Health services does not issue excuses from class for illness or injury. A one-day nurse pass can be obtained by contacting Student Health services the day of illness/injury. However, it is at the professor's discretion whether or not to accept this documentation as an excuse from class. All Student Health services records are considered privileged information and are strictly confidential.
Testing for COVID-19 and the influenza virus will be available to staff, faculty and students free of charge for anyone who is symptomatic. Testing is administered by the registered nurse in Student Health during normal business hours.
