Program Features

Pre-Medical Program Foundation

ORU allows you to adapt any major to a pre-medical program with the inclusion of:

• Biology Lecture and Lab (2 semesters)
• Chemistry Lecture and Lab (2 semesters)
• Organic Chemistry Lecture and Lab (2 semesters)
• Physics Lecture and Lab (2 semesters)
• Mathematical Analysis or Calculus

These classes allow highly qualified students the opportunity to be admitted to medical school after three years of undergraduate training. All pre-professional health services majors are encouraged to work closely with their degree advisor.

Internships

Students in the College of Health Sciences gain practical experience through internships at top healthcare institutions and organizations. Past students have interned at Ascension St. John, Hillcrest Healthcare System, and the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, where they apply their classroom knowledge in clinical and community health settings. These hands-on opportunities offer valuable professional exposure and often lead to full-time positions or advanced training after graduation.

Medical Missions
