Program Overview

Oral Roberts University’s Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Strategic Media program is a hybrid degree which intersects the newest technologies and training in media, design, communication, and business. From the very first semester, you’ll experience hands-on training in digital tools and creative content design. Research, writing, and technology-rich courses in digital design, digital photography, video and social content systems give you the tools to work in brand management, digital media and marketing, and social content creation. In advanced classes, you’ll plan and execute impactful campaigns and make professional presentations to clients.

Relationships you build through the program will guide you to the kind of work you want to do. Many students refine their skills in paid, work-study opportunities with Student Association, Athletics, Alumni Relations and Development, Conference and Event Services, and ORU Student Media. You'll even complete a 15-week professional internship along the way.

Senior students work as an agency to compete in ORU's National Student Advertising Competition team. Recent grads from ORU are entering national and global careers with such companies as Nike, Target, Warner Brothers and RX Bar, along with national nonprofits and wide-scale ministries.

The Strategic Media program develops Holy Spirit-empowered leaders and culture change-agents, professionals ready to impact the world for Christ.
