Program Overview

 Oral Roberts University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts  (B.F.A.) degree in Acting is a creative and conservatory-style program focusing on intense development of acting artistry. You will work and study in a laboratory environment to explore various acting techniques along with extensive voice and movement training. You will finish your degree confident with real-world experience through performance and production opportunities to become a Holy Spirit-empowered acting professional.

Through the philosophy of Whole Person Education, we create an atmosphere of collaboration, nurture imagination and court the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by dedicating ourselves to being masters of our craft. As a student with us, you’ll experience hands-on experiences in live and filmed performances. You will have the opportunity to be a part of Alpha Psi Omega, a national, honorary and dramatic society which is a service organization to the community, to help stimulate interest in theatrical activities both on and off the ORU campus.  

On top of this, you’ll collaborate with a great group of talented and creative students. You’ll learn directly from faith-grounded theatre professionals who know what it takes to succeed in this entertaining industry. Our current students and alumni have appeared on Broadway, film, television and in major theaters across the country and with dedication, passion and hard work, you can too!

As a university, we meet the highest accreditation standards set by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Are there scholarships available?
