Program Overview

Oral Roberts University’s Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre is a residential program that equips you to become a theatre professional. You will graduate with performance and production experiences. The ORU Theatre program will empower and challenge you to do your finest work!

As a student with us you’ll have on-campus and off-campus theatrical opportunities and have access to Alpha Psi Omega, a national, honorary and dramatic society which is a service organization to the community.

On top of this, you’ll learn directly from faith-grounded theatre professionals who know what it takes to succeed in this creative industry. Our current students and alumni have appeared on Broadway, film, television and in major theaters across the country and with dedication, passion and hard work, you can too!

What about accreditation?

As a university, we meet the accreditation standards set by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Are there scholarships available?

Nearly 100% of our full-time, undergraduate residential students receive ORU grants and scholarships through academic achievement and through ORU’s premier scholarship opportunity of our Quest Whole Leader Scholarship.
