Program Features

As a music education major, you will have the opportunity to engage socially in the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC), a great networking tool with all the music activities sponsored on and off campus.

Students in this program gain hands-on experience through internships that support their development as Spirit-empowered music educators. Internship placements often include public and private schools, community music programs, worship ministries, and educational nonprofits. These opportunities provide practical teaching experience, enhance leadership skills, and frequently lead to full-time teaching positions or further professional growth after graduation.

ORU meets the accreditation standards set by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). ORU became an All Steinway School in Spring 2011.
