TULSA, Okla.—Oral Roberts University (ORU) announced that on Thursday, April 8, 2021,
bestselling author and world-renown communicator John C. Maxwell will be the 2021
Commencement speaker. The Commencement event will be held at the Mabee Center on Saturday,
May 1. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM CDT, with doors opening at 11:30 AM.
“John C. Maxwell is a leading voice on leadership and leadership development, and known around the world,” said ORU President, Dr. William M. Wilson. “John is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and has been recognized as an influential leadership expert. ORU is honored to have John address the graduating class of 2021 of whole leaders for the whole world.”
Maxwell is a recipient of the Horatio Alger Award and the Mother Teresa Prize for Global Peace and Leadership from the Luminary Leadership Network. His books have been published in more than 50 languages and sold more than 33 million copies.
