Mike Carter Named Interim VP President of Development and Alumni Relations

TULSA, Okla.—Oral Roberts University has announced a transition in the Office of Development
and Alumni Relations. Natalie Adams, who has served for the past fourteen months as
Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations, will be leaving the University.
The search for a new vice president will begin immediately. ORU President Dr. William
M. Wilson has named Mike Carter, who serves as Athletic Director Emeritus, as the
Interim Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations. Carter will continue in
his service as Emeritus AD while leading the Development and Alumni division of ORU.
Mike Carter has served over 27 years in university executive leadership and is looking forward to the challenges of his new role. “ORU is a unique, one-of-a-kind place in the world. I am thrilled to continue my role as an ambassador for ORU in this new way. It is an honor to serve our students, faculty, and staff. I am excited about partnering with our community, alumni, and friends from around the globe in building ORU together. God is blessing us and there are limitless possibilities ahead.”
President Wilson expressed appreciation for Carter, “We are grateful for Mike’s excellent service to ORU through the years. I am also very thankful that he said yes to using his energies and time to help us during this interim. Mike is a champion and will be a great blessing to our alumni and friends. He is also a great fundraiser and will excel in this new role for this next season.”
President Wilson conveyed gratitude for the tenure of Ms. Adams, “We are grateful for the work Natalie accomplished at ORU. She is a wonderful lady and worked very hard for our University. Our prayers go with her into the future.”
