ORU’s Josie Stephens Takes Her Volunteering a

Big Step Forward with Special Olympics

Josie Stephens graduated in December with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Public Relations/Advertising. She began volunteering as a student with Special Olympics Oklahoma and was hired full-time as their Outreach Initiative Manager following graduation. Josie shares about her experience at ORU and what being Spirit-empowered means to her. 

“People want to hear what I have to say because they know there’s something different about me. That’s the Spirit living inside of me.”
