Record-Breaking Enrollment Growth Continues at ORU

ORU welcomes students to Spring 2024

Tulsa, Oklahoma, Feb. 9, 2024— Oral Roberts University (ORU) is reporting 5,147 students for this Spring, which is the first time Spring enrollment has surpassed 5,000 students. The University grew by 10.5% compared to last Spring. ORU experienced a historic retention rate of 93% among returning students and a significant 10.6% increase in graduate program enrollment.  With 15 years of consecutive growth, ORU is globally acknowledged as one of the world's largest and most influential Spirit-empowered universities. Ranked by Niche as one of the top 25 universities in America for diversity, ORU’s Spring enrollment consists of 13.5% African Americans, 14.3%% Hispanics, and 18.6% international students.

With students from all 50 states and more than 151 nations over the last four ye ars, ORU’s multicultural community has continued to grow. The top five represented states at ORU are Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Louisiana, and California, and the top five countries enrolled are India, Nigeria, Brazil, Honduras, and Colombia.

Walking Students
With enrollment reaching historic numbers, ORU has been expanding to further serve its students. Additions to the campus include the ORU Welcome Center, the Fenimore & Fisher College of Business, the Mike Carter Athletic Center, the J.D. McKean Library, and the Biological Sciences Center. Currently under construction is the David and Barbara Green Centre for Global Leadership and the 78,000-square-foot Peggy V. Helmerich Media Arts Center, which will house a 450-seat proscenium arched auditorium, a 144-seat music performance hall, and a 100-seat black box theater.
