President, Dr. William M. Wilson, was recently invited by World Wide Technology (WWT) Board Chair and Co-Founder David Steward to address the organization’s inspirational call. Wilson presented the attendees with a Christmas message entitled, “Five Lessons from the Biblical Account of the First Advent.”

Dr. Wilson, who leads three global ministries in addition to Oral Roberts University, met Steward in July 2020. Steward’s and Wilson’s combined life journeys, plus their passion for helping others, brought WWT and ORU together. ORU is recognized as a leader of innovation in education. WWT is a market-leading global technology solutions provider.

“There has not been a better time than the close of 2020 for this timely message,” said Steward.

The “togetherness” was exemplified as participants were inspired and encouraged by Dr. Wilson’s message. The applicable details of the Biblical account of the first Advent resonated.

Dr. Wilson has delivered messages around the world to millions of people, and shared that, “It was very refreshing to deliver an encouraging word at the end of the unique year to so many technology professionals who are changing the world on behalf of education and every other industry.”

WWT employee Jake Henne was among those who participated, and was touched by the message.

“Dr. Wilson’s message came at the perfect time, a time filled with challenges and hardship, and his message will deeply resonate with many people, as it did with me,” said Henne.

“When Dr. Wilson spoke of joy, it made me think of the passion displayed in our core values and how important our customer interactions truly are. At WWT, these are known as THE PATH – Trust, Humility, Embrace Change, Passion, Attitude, Team Player, and Honesty.”

Henne echoed Steward’s sentiment that he and ORU share a goal to reach the 7.8 billion people in the world.
