ORU Hosts “Insights with Steve Forbes”
Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University and Tulsa Town Hall are excited to host a virtual
conversation between chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media Steve Forbes and
ORU alumnus, entrepreneur, author, and film producer Jim Stovall. “Insights with Steve
Forbes” was originally intended to be a live event with Forbes visiting Tulsa, but
the COVID-19 pandemic led organizers to move the event to a free virtual gathering
recorded from ORU’s Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship.
“I’m excited that The Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship is living out its purpose
during these difficult times,” said Stovall. “Steve Forbes is a great friend, valued
colleague, and arguably the most recognized figure in the world of capitalism and
entrepreneurship.”
A link to view the conversation will be available on the ORU and Tulsa Town Hall websites for 30 days beginning June 26 and continuing through July 22, 2020.
The Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship, which opened last November on the ORU campus,
was made possible through a $1,000,000 donation and $500,000 matching grant from Stovall,
along with the Tulsa Community Foundation. Stovall, an alumnus of ORU, is known for
his entrepreneurial spirit as the founder of the Narrative Television Network. He
is also the bestselling author of over 40 books including The Ultimate Gift, The Ultimate Life, and The Lamp, all of which have been made into major motion pictures.
Tulsa Town Hall is a nonprofit organization that has provided a dynamic speaker series
since 1935 with the goal of opening minds and stirring curiosities.
