sc4eTulsa, OK – The Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship and the College of Business at Oral Roberts University are partnering with others to help Tulsa area businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, area businesses are invited to join a call featuring business leader Jim Stovall as he discusses reopening strategies. As the economy reopens in phases, businesses need to adapt quickly to the new normal. Stovall’s years of experience navigating the peaks and valleys of the business cycle in America allow him to offer unique insight. Navigating COVID-19: Reopening Strategies begins at 1:00pm CDT. Those joining the call are asked to RSVP through this link.

ORU is also working to provide internships for students to support the Tulsa community during the pandemic.

The Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship is launching a new program called THRIVE: Empower students to fuel our community. The goal of this innovative program is to meet the needs of small businesses and help provide employment and internship opportunities for students. The deadline for students to sign up through this link is May 22, 2020. Employers can sign up here.

The Center will also work with SummerTulsa, a partnership with the City of Tulsa, George Kaiser Family Foundation, and The Mine Tulsa to support the SummerTulsa Impact Academy, a paid, full-time, program for students to work as teams to develop short and long-term strategies in response to COVID-19.
