Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University announced today that it will transition all residential classes to a virtual meeting format through D2L beginning March 23, following the University’s spring break. We are encouraging students to finish their work remotely from home, yet we realize that many of our students depend on their on-campus living arrangements and food plan. We will do our best to keep the dorms and food service open until May 3 but are asking those who wish to retrieve their belongings over the next few weeks to do so.
Many of the University’s faculty and staff will also work from home through at least April 10. No gatherings over 15 people will be held on campus except for any public groups renting the Mabee Center. We are encouraging everyone on campus to continue practicing physical distancing as suggested by CDC guidelines.
“Several years ago, God inspired us to build ORU’s Global Learning Center. This Center provides exceptional capacity for our faculty and administration to connect with our students around the globe during this unique season,” said Dr. William M. Wilson, ORU President. “These are unparalleled times and they require unparalleled measures. God is at work in the midst of this crisis and He will help us find A New Way for this New Day. We are making history together and the ORU community will emerge from this moment stronger than ever.”
