ORU Professor's New Research Delves Into Oral Roberts's Legacy on Civil Rights

ORU Assistant Professor of Media Dr. Cristi Freudenrich has recently released groundbreaking research on the University's namesake Oral Roberts. In this video, she discusses how his theology led him to bring God's healing to all people, and how that manifested itself in a sincere desire to see racial equality in his meetings and crusades.

Dr. Freudenrich did her research in support of her dissertation, “What Was Left on the Cutting Room Floor - Rhetorical Themes of Race in Oral Roberts’ 1956 Crusade,” which has been selected by the Broadcast Education Association as the 2020 Kenneth Harwood Outstanding Dissertation Award.
