ORU Placement Success

Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University students are finding success after graduation. ORU’s Career Services office has announced that 99.5% of the University’s 2019 graduates have found jobs or gone on to graduate school. The national average for workforce placement after college is about 86.7%.

ORU graduates are in jobs around the globe and working at prestigious organizations including American Airlines, Apple, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Baker Hughes, Boeing, Flight Safety International, and Grant Thornton, along with many churches, ministries, hospitals, and schools.

ORU Career Services was able to gather information from 88% of its graduates through surveys, phone calls, and social media. Nearly 81% had accepted employment with 18 percent choosing continuing education.

“We’ve had amazing success at ORU in the placement of our students. During my tenure as President, ORU has gone from a 73% placement rate in 2013 to nearly 100% in 2019,” said Dr. William M. Wilson, ORU President. “We are training whole leaders for the whole world who are ready to enter the workforce here in Oklahoma and around the globe in a variety of fields including engineering, accounting, nursing, teaching, and ministry.”

ORU will be holding its Spring Career Fair on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from noon to 3pm at the Global Learning Center for those interested in hiring an ORU grad.
