Dr. Foster is a 1995 graduate of Oral Roberts University Anna Vaughn School of Nursing. Upon completion of her BSN, Dr. Foster began working as a bedside nurse in the Children’s Hospital at St. Francis Hospital. She worked in a variety of pediatric settings in the Children’s Hospital over the last 30 years. While at St. Francis Hospital, she has served as a Nurse Practice Council committee member and as the chair of the Unit Based Council in the PICU and Pediatric ER. Over the years, Angie served as a mentor to many nursing students and new graduate nurses. These times of investing in the lives and careers of upcoming and new nurses are what prompted Angie to pursue a degree in Nursing Education. Angie graduated with her MSN Education from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2018.

The Lord led Angie back to ORU in 2016 where she served as a Nursing Simulation Lab Specialist while working on her MSN. Since obtaining her MSN Education, Angie has been an instructor in the BSN program teaching in the Pediatrics and Maternal Child Nursing courses.

Since she was a child, Angie has felt a call from the Lord to use her nursing to share the love of God with others around the world through medical missions. Angie graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center with a Missions focus in 1998. She has since been able to participate in medical mission trips to several countries, including leading the junior and senior level ORU nursing students to Ghana and Togo Africa for international nursing clinical experiences over the last five years.

Angie is committed to continuing education and nursing practice, as such, she completed her DNP in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2023. She currently works part-time as an FNP. She and her husband have four children and are actively involved in serving their local church.
