Deep roots in the business market began at an early age. The examples of a family centralized entrepreneur and small business environment continues to guide Wendy both working in the industry and with start-up companies. Her dad’s saying was “don’t put all your eggs into one basket.” Her dad was a self-made entrepreneur and a true testament of how to overcome life’s challenges and still be a victorious mark in the world through living a Christ-centered life.
The foundation led Wendy to work for the family business and the be part of the industry world. Prior to the academia field, her family business began numerous start-up companies in both the service and retail industry. The main focal point being in the real estate market – buying and selling – remodeling and new construction. There were many hats to wear in the family business and is one of the driving forces behind her drive to always listen, observe, and look for opportunities to “be the market.”
Wendy earned a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) degree with a Marketing specialization from Northcentral University. She received a MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix along with a BS degree in Business Administration from Lee University.
